This training program, presented by the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, is designed for attorneys who are new to low-asset, low-income Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Its panel — Bruce Weiner, Esq., and Sheldon Barasch, Esq. — will provide an overview of the steps in a consumer bankruptcy, discuss general principles, and review the petition and form preparation.
Attorneys who participate in this program will earn a minimum of 2 CLE credits
The course is FREE to those who accept at least one bankruptcy matter from the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project before April 30, 2020. Experienced attorneys receive an additional CLE credit for every 2 hours of eligible pro bono work. The cost is $150 for attorneys who do not wish to take pro bono referrals.
Training will be held at Abrams Fensterman 1 Metrotech Center, Suite 1701, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Registration is required. To register, go to: http://brooklynvlp.org/programs/
